Reiki treatment £28
|
|
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal
life energy. This energy flows in and around all living
things.
Reiki healing was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early
20th century and evolved as a result of his research,
experience and dedication. There are many variations of
Reiki but in essence it is a healing process that works at
bringing us into balance and reinforces the body’s natural
ability to heal itself at different levels, whether
physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. I use the
traditional Dr. Mikao Usui and Angelic Reiki systems.
|
 |
Reiki is now
being used extensively as a complementary therapy in
prisons, hospitals and is included in drug rehabilitation
programmes.
What happens during a treatment?
The
treatment consists of the client lying down fully clothed on
the treatment couch, only removing shoes and jewellery. The
practitioner then places their hands non-invasively on the
client in a sequence of positions which cover the body.
Reiki energy is then drawn by the client using the
practitioner as a channel.

 |
Clients
often experience sensations of warmth, tingling or chills.
Other sensations include feelings of deep inner peace and
harmony, to waves of energy pulsating throughout the body.
Clients often go into such a relaxed state that they
experience waves of colour and images. At times emotions may
be released, but this is always a very positive experience.
Occasionally clients do not experience any sensations during
a treatment but clients always feel deeply relaxed
afterwards and this in itself aids the body's own natural
healing mechanism.
|
Each person will have an individual
experience as no two Reiki treatments feel the same.
I also use crystals during this treatment placing them on or
around the body. They compliment any therapy and support the
even flow of energy in and around the body. |

Please note: Reiki is not a substitute for
conventional medicine. It is a very powerful yet gentle
healing system which helps to support and enhance other
forms of treatment. It should not be regarded as a cure for
any conditions. Also, healing and curing are very different
concepts. To cure is to erase symptoms and to heal is to
create positive change within a person.

How often should I have a treatment?
For general relaxation and rebalance, Reiki
is ideal as a one off treatment.
For short term problems 3-4 treatments are recommended on a
weekly or fortnightly basis, and then monthly until the
problem disappears.
For long term problems, ongoing weekly treatments are
recommended.

Testimonials
“A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that
flows through and around you.”
J.M. Warwick
“I can really tell the difference in my moods and how I feel
if I miss a treatment. Reiki helps me to be calm and
focused. It’s been a God send.”
B.G. Kenilworth
“Always the sceptic, I thought Reiki would have little
effect on me. I was surprised and delighted to find the
treatment not only relaxing physically but somehow
comforting emotionally as well. The treatment was very
effective in reducing the ever-present stress I feel and
that's not easy to do. I would recommend all my fellow
sceptics to try it before they discount it!”
D.R. Leamington Spa
"My overall impression of my Reiki session with Louise was
of a sublime feeling of calm. The music and surroundings all
contributed to this.”
